This essay shows a real appreciation for the texts and their author’s intentions. You’ve worked to put them into their correct historical context, you’ve used quotations to support some of your ideas and you’ve begin exploring the language effects used to create emotion in the writing.

To develop the work further you may wish to:

• Ensure that you support every idea with a specific quotation.
• Learn some of the technical terminology to clarify the many language effects you’re describing.
• Be careful to make sure your emotions are
• Focus relentlessly on the question – how emotions of female characters are communicated
• Explore the language in more detail – as opposed to the ideas. How the language strengthens the message.
